Mario Kart Arcade GP is an arcade-only spin-off of the Mario Kart series, developed by Namco Bandai. Designed for the Triforce arcade board, players can race as a character on any of the tracks. On certain machines, for an additional fee, a player's data can be saved on a magnetic card which can be inserted into the machine again later to retain unlocked items and records. Nintendo's small role of development was mainly isolated to ensuring that it was as good as the console games. Being made by Namco Bandai, they went on to put characters and items from their franchises into the series.
Games in the series include:
Mario Kart Arcade GP, Arcade (2005)
Mario Kart Arcade GP 2, Arcade (2007)
Mario Kart Arcade GP DX, Arcade (2013)
Franchises included in the series through characters, assists, cameos, stages, etc...
